Sales Manager - Industrial X-ray (Americas)

In the Industrial X-Ray Modules division, we provide safer, more economical and breakthrough solutions for non-destructive testing and security applications through the pioneering development of intelligent industrial X-ray technologies.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The IXM Sales Manager is responsible for the sales of COMET´s Industrial X-Ray Portfolio.  They will develop leads and increase incoming orders and sales though customer visits, industry trade shows, and networking to increase market share.

 

What you will do:

  • Manage and further develop existing customer base and strategically focus on the acquisition of new customers and contacts.
  • Identify customer needs and industry challenges and present COMET solutions.
  • Gain insight and understanding of trends in COMET’s focus markets.
  • Create and present sales cases to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting such as weekly/monthly reporting meeting/event reports as well as building and using country and territory planning.
  • Lead negotiations and close contracts with customers and partners.
  • Manage customer accounts and build strong, long lasting, customer relationships.
  • Interpret technical requirements of the customer.
  • Translate benefits and features of new technology to facilitate customer adoption of next generation products.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management to support technology advancement.
  • Manage contacts, quotes, and orders in CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Sales forecasts.
  • Work with internal Customer Service and Technical Services Teams in delivering exemplary customer experiences.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales / business development or relevant customer facing roles.
  • Record of selling to both large and small companies and developing strategic key accounts.
  • Experience managing and motivating channel partners is desired.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical/Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related fields
  • Fluency in English; other language fluency helpful.

 

Compensation for this sales role is comprised of base salary and Sales Incentive Compensation ("commission").  The base salary for this role is approximately $125,000 to $140,000 annual, plus a sales incentive plan.
