Regional Sales Manager - Industrial X-ray Systems

In the Industrial X-Ray Systems division, we develop and produce radioscopic and CT inspection systems for a wide range of industrial applications in the electronics, aerospace or automotive industries.

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our Comet Yxlon division - industrial x-ray systems.  The preferred location is San Jose, CA vicinity.

 

 What will you do? 

  • Increase sales volume and revenue and achieve sales targets.
  • Expand existing markets through identification and acquisition of new customers in the region.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing and lead the preparation of quotations.
  • Review contract after receipt of order and execution of commercial feasibility study.
  • Formulate local sales and marketing strategies.
  • Provide application and product training and inform customers about the latest product developments.
  • Develop pricing strategies based on local market conditions.
  • Prepare short- and long-term sales forecasts.
  • Establish key customer contacts and develop close relationships.
  • Monitor the market and analyze relevant market information/trends.
  • Report on regional sales activities including creation of visit reports.
  • Order entry planning through CRM software.
  • Participate in trade fairs and conferences.

 

Who are we looking for?

 Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Completed studies in business administration, marketing or engineering or a comparable course of studies.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in sales, marketing or business development.
  • Experience in sales of capital goods requiring explanation, with knowledge of industrial X-ray/CT preferred. 

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Customer and results orientation.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to motivate others to accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in key technologies (MS Office, SAP, CRM tools, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%

 

Compensation for this sales role is comprised of base salary and Sales Incentive Compensation ("commission").  The base salary for this role is approximately $150,000 to $170,000 annual, plus a sales incentive plan.
