Title:    Cyber ITSM Specialist

 

Job Summary:
The IT Security and IT Service Management Specialist will strengthen Comet’s global security posture, advances IT Service Management maturity, and provides essential on-site IT support at Shelton. This hybrid role aligns IT operations with the security roadmap, enhances service quality, and reduces endpoint and user risks.

 

What you will do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Security (40%)
    Implement and operate security controls across IT and OT environments. Support vulnerability scanning, remediation, security governance, incident response, security tool rollout, endpoint hardening, and identity/access management. Align with global security roadmap and CISO directives.
  • IT Service Management (40%)
    Manage incidents, service requests, and tasks in HALO, ensuring timely resolution. Support ITSM process maturity (incident, request, change, problem management) and standardization. Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate globally to improve service delivery.
  • Local IT Support (20%)
    Provide hands-on IT support for Shelton users and systems, resolving tickets within SLAs. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and endpoints. Coordinate escalations with global teams. Maintain local assets and support onboarding/offboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you bring:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years in IT Security, IT Support, or IT Service Management.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge (certification preferred).
  • Experience with security tools, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and hybrid IT environments.
  • Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, SSCP) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management and regulated/manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with service desk platforms (HALO preferred).
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills in Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with global teams.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and remote support tools (TeamViewer, Remote Desktop).
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, disk imaging, systems administration, databases, phone systems, and mobile device support.
  • ITIL Foundation Level Certification.

 

The target salary range for this job is approximately $125,000 to $135,000 annually.
