In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.
Job Summary:
The warehouse manager is responsible for all warehouse operations and supervises all warehouse staff including those responsible for materials, equipment, receiving and distribution services.
What you will do:
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions export and trade compliance.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; daily cycle counts and reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Manage various processes, surveillance skills and inventory control KPIs.
What you bring:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including controlling, tracking, and managing inventory and logistics.
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Experienced in Inventory management and maintaining inventory accuracy and executing cycle count program.
- Participate and in various process development and documenting consistent work standards around warehouse related activities.
- Experienced of maintaining inventory data and accuracy of consigned inventory to customers and suppliers on global basis.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, shipments, or warehouse operations.
- Manage logistics overseas and domestic for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
- Understand and apply overseas shipment regulations for compliance documentations and IATA requirement work with export analyst and trade compliance team.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary.
- Be able to prepare budgets and create business case for management approvals.
- Be able to manage and direct 6-8 associates and team leads working in the warehouse.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by Managing, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, operational KPI for warehouse operations.
Education and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Ten (10+) plus years of experience and Seven (7) years of warehouse experience in a managerial capacity.
- SAP experience is a must.
- International shipping & customs clearance experience is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree, APICS or CMA or CPM certifications
- Have 5S, LEAN Manufacturing successfully implemented.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 10% international and domestic travel may be required.
The target salary range for this job is approximately $115,000 to $125,000 annually.
