Manager, RF Engineering

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

 

What will you do?

 

  • Lead a team of experienced RF Engineers and technicians developing high-power RF circuits for COMET’s auto-tune impedance matching products
  • Set team goals for product, technology, and team development
  • Design high-power RF circuits and sensors for impedance matching
  • Develop models for high-power RF systems using tools such as MathWorks Simulink
  • Perform RF electromagnetic simulation using tools such as HFSS/Q3D
  • Document design ideas to build internal technology Wiki pages
  • Design and implement calibration routines and fixtures
  • Analyze and verify test results and improve test fixtures when needed
  • Assist in the development of internal IP & technology roadmaps
  • Author white papers related to high-power RF impedance matching networks

 

What you bring:

 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years in Technical/people Leadership 
  • 5+ years of high-power RF circuit, RF VI sensor, directional coupler, filter, power divider or antenna design experience
  • Must have deep understanding of lumped and distributed-parameter circuit models of the Electromagnetic structures
  • Expert in high-power (>10kW) RF circuit design for MF to VHF band (300KHz~300MHz)
  • Must be able to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

 

The target salary range for this job is approximately $210,000 to $230,000 annually.
