Finance Specialist (Support San Jose, US)

In the Group Funtions, we support the market-oriented divisions with central services. We work together today on the solutions for tomorrow - in close cooperation with our customers and always with high quality standards.

What you will do:

• Lead month-end financial closing activities for the North America site, including pre-closing coordination across Manufacturing, R&D, and SG&A, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements.
• Prepare, analyze, and summarize financial results to help management fully understand the drivers of financial performance, including Key Figures, via Hyperion Smart View.
• Extract and analyze data from SAP using Excel to support business and project-level reporting, collaborating with business units to improve transparency on actual vs. forecast spending and supporting project status tracking and maintenance in SAP.
• Act as an interface between accounting department and operational staff for all financial topics ensuring that all data delivered is accurate and thoroughly analyzed before sending it to Corporate.
• Strive for continual improvement of all finance processes by leading finance projects that improve data accuracy, transparency, and reporting speed, including transitioning from spreadsheet-based tools to integrated ERP solutions.

What you bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management of Information Systems.
• +5 years of working experience in experience in Financial planning and analysis / Controlling supporting manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with accounting and reporting systems SAP ERP (SAP S/4HANA preferred), with strong proficiency in Microsoft. Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and advanced skills in Power BI and Excel Macros for data analysis and automation.
• Strong communication skills in English with proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively across the organization.
• Good understanding of organizational goals, with the ability to identify and drive process improvements and efficiency gains through automation and digitalization.
