To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies division at the Penang site as a

 

SENIOR Manufacturing Technician

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of First Article RF matches and related assemblies with support and guidance from Engineer
  • Participate in continuous improvement to provide suggestion and inputs on lean assembly techniques to ensure products are of optimal manufacturability.
  • First person to build first manufacturing articles
  • Identify and highlight process and quality changes designed to improve manufacturing or department capabilities. Drives and participate in Lean, Safety and Quality corrective action activities.
  • Perform time study and look for the opportunities for cycle time reduction
  • Monitor and verify BOMs (Bill of Materials) and report any inconsistencies.
  • Train production team on building new products as well as changes introduced to the existing products.
  • Provide input into design and development of any required production fixtures.
  • Support failure analysis activities
  • Actively participate in the transfer of product
  • Assist and monitor local repair process as well as mechanical upgrades
  • Create user manuals per company standards
  • Support production builds as required
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

 

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronics or its equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant experience as Manufacturing Technician
  • 3 years and above of experience in Mechanical and Electrical Assembly with an emphasis on RF strongly preferred.
  • ust have coaching and mentoring skills
  • Is open to flexible hours requiring occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Possess a “can-do” with quality first attitude and take “ownership” on the assigned projects.
  • Experience in High Level Assembly (HLA) and Smart torque tool are highly preferrable
  • Basic experience in SAP system will be an added advantage
