Industrial Engineering Engineer

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy the Industrial Engineering strategy to deliver Customer Service Excellence and Operational Excellence. Communicate the strategy to ensure alignment of all manufacturing operations.
  • Drive strategy execution, establish and monitor metrics to assess effectiveness.
  • Build flexible time-standard, costing, and operational models that enable clear measures of productivity, optimized ergonomics, and minimization of non-value-added activities.
  • Establish a standardized approach for Industrial Engineering. Create and maintain policy and guidance to ensure Industrial Engineering delivers operational excellence as a foundation to delivering customer service excellence with the expectation of growing Comet’s profitable revenue.
  • Develop and deploy standard practices and tools for the conduct of Industrial Engineering. Drive alignment of Industrial Engineering practices across regions. Ensure best practices are shared and adopted across regions.
  • Periodic review and updates of charts, graphs or diagrams which illustrates workflow, routing, floor layouts, machine and man utilization outlining the health and status of the operations.
  • Coordinate and executes layout and workstation relocation activities.
  • Work with suppliers for tooling, workstation, and other accessories in terms of designing or modifying that will help improve the operations.
  • Managing and maintaining of equipment, tooling and other accessories that is supporting the production operations.
  • Participate, lead, and supports in any external and internal audits.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience of at least 5 years is required for this position. Equivalent industry experience of 5 or more years is highly desirable.
  • Extensive understanding of manufacturing flow, ergonomics principles, and lean manufacturing principles is required.
  • Ability to lead multi-site teams and interact with executive management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Vision) and AutoCAD.
  • Intermediate SAP ERP use experience.
