To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies division at the Penang site as a

Indirect Buyer

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

• Operational order processing of indirect material, services, and Capex orders
• Review and validate Purchase Requisition for CAPEX and indirect products/services for sites in scope.
• Create and expedite Purchase Orders, verify PO receipt by vendors and manage late invoice payments.
• PO/Invoice management assistance.
• Monitor data accuracy in SAP (e.g. PO receipt and fulfilment dates)
• Work closely with Accounts Payable and the P2P enablement team to resolve invoice queries.
• Support procurement key vendors with commercial and PO/Invoice activities
• Support sourcing activities execution.
• Assist where needed with vendor commercial engagements, contract preparation, execution, and vendor setup. 
• Support Project Cost Controlling in the preparation of monthly project reports.
• Manage working relationships with partner teams (PMO, Procurement, Accounts Payables etc.)
• Vacation replacement for Global Indirect Asia.
• Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within the immediate team.

Working Experience / Technical Skills / Know How

• Commercial or technical training, ideally supplemented by further training in the field of purchasing or logistics.
• 2-5 years’ experience in purchasing, ideally in an industrial environment or in a comparable position
• Good knowledge of MS-Office and SAP
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin and, Malay
• Resilient, independent, reliable and team player
• Systematic approach to problem solving.
• Continuous improvement mindset
