In the Industrial X-Ray Modules division, we provide safer, more economical and breakthrough solutions for non-destructive testing and security applications through the pioneering development of intelligent industrial X-ray technologies.

What you will do:

• Leading technology development projects in the field of targets and electron-emitters of X-ray tubes
• Design, specification and experimental validation of micro structured and coated components
• Finite element and Monte Carlo simulations of fields and particle trajectories
• Verification of simulation results through experiments, including test setup and automation
• Transfer and implementation of technology projects outcomes into solution and product development
   

What you bring: 

• Diploma in Material Science, Physics, Micromechanics or similar
• Experience in materials science and materials engineering (coating technologies e.g. PVD, CVD, ceramics, crystalline emitters) required 
• Experience with Monte Carlo simulations required, ideally with GEANT
• Knowledge of microfabrication as well as basic knowledge/experience in X-ray physics, high-voltage technology, and vacuum technology is advantageous
• Good knowledge of German and English is required
