Python Software Engineer (m/w/d)

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.


What you will do: 

•    Develop and maintain tools to support efficient test development practices 
•    Design and implement tool pipelines to automate our testing process 
•    Work closely with the testing team to troubleshoot issues and improve processes and tools
•    Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our test procedures
•    Monitor performance metrics and suggest and implement improvements as needed

What you bring: 

•    Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 
•    Extensive experience (at least 3 years) in software development in Python
•    Strong experience with testing and associated tools like pytest, unit test etc.
•    Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation is a bonus
•    Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
•    Interest in working on challenges that arise from tests that involve a lot of signal processing, large data sets and long computation times
•    Ability to identify problems, to provide solutions and to work in a collaborative team environment is required
•    Hand-on experience of measurement devices and embedded systems is an asset
