Operative Buyer

We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication. 

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

In this role, you will ensure the efficient, timely, and quality-oriented processing of orders within the Procure-to-Pay process. You will oversee the entire ordering process, including purchase orders, order confirmations, reminders, and adherence to delivery deadlines.
 

What you will do:

• Placing purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
• Ensuring material availability in collaboration with planning and production.
• Independently resolving order- and delivery-related issues.
• Obtaining and negotiating quotations in coordination with strategic procurement.
• Reviewing invoices, handling reminders, and processing complaints.
• Ensuring an OTD (On-Time Delivery) supplier performance of over 98%.
• Maintaining master data and optimizing processes.
• Participating in projects and continuous improvement processes.
• Acting as a key contact for planning, production, logistics, and R&D.

What you bring:

• Several years (at least 5 years) of experience in operational procurement or a similar role.
• Completed technical or mechanical training, along with commercial education in procurement or an equivalent qualification.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
• Proficiency in German and English.
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High flexibility, precision, and ability to work independently.
