NPI & Manufacturing Innovation Engineer 80-100%

We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication. 

 

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and industrialize improved production capabilities for our new and existing products
  • Establish production flows throughout the NPI process to ensure robust volume manufacturing
  • Use statistical methods (DoE, six sigma, SPC) to build high-yield, high-reliability manufacturing solutions
  • Analyze throughput, bottlenecks, and equipment interactions to guide decisions, ramp‑up readiness, and long‑term scalability across the entire value stream
  • Evaluate and validate new technologies, automation concepts, and equipment solutions for future-ready production
  • Align R&D, operations, quality, and smart manufacturing on critical parameters, inspection strategies, and system integration to ensure seamless NPI execution

 

What you bring: 

  • Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Proven track record in industrial production engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing system development in a high-tech environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, equipment, and process control, as well as proficiency in data-driven validation of manufacturing capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, trial, and validate new manufacturing solutions and automation concepts
  • Creative and analytical mindset with strong systems thinking and the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication skills with a cross-functional mindset including good German and very good English skills
