Global Indirect Purchasing Manager (m/w/d)

In the Group Funtions, we support the market-oriented divisions with central services. We work together today on the solutions for tomorrow - in close cooperation with our customers and always with high quality standards.

What you will do: 
•    Develop, implement and refine global and cross-site sourcing strategies as well as operational procedures in the areas of indirect materials and services procurement.
•    Strategic support of Comet’s market-oriented divisions in close cooperation with specialist departments and business units driving and managing procurement projects that include, strategic sourcing, tenders, price negotiations, global framework agreements and supplier relationship management
•    Support internal stakeholders in daily indirect-related purchasing topics/inquires and invoicing operations, including educational trainings and/or respective documentation
•    Manage purchase and order processing in SAP, including creation, proposal and implementation of continuous improvement measures in cooperation with the team
•    Guide, manage and develop the local strategic sourcing and operational buying teams in Europe and Asia for indirect materials and services
•    Market observation and execution of price comparisons as well as price/performance analyses
•    Evaluation and further development of strategic suppliers, supplier due diligence and negotiation strategies
•    Support internal management stakeholders in daily indirect-related purchasing topics/inquiries

What you bring: 
•    University degree in economics, supply chain management or equivalent, ideally supplemented with focused further training in purchasing 
•    7+ years’ experience in operational and strategic purchasing of indirect goods, preferably in an international multi-site manufacturing environment
•    Proven leadership experience with a keen instinct for sustainable team development
•    Profound knowledge of the purchasing environment in SAP MM
•    Fluent in English and German, both verbally and written; with concise communication skills
