Development Engineer / PLC Programmer (m/f/d) 80-100%

In the Industrial X-Ray Modules division, we provide safer, more economical and breakthrough solutions for non-destructive testing and security applications through the pioneering development of intelligent industrial X-ray technologies.

What you will do: 

• Develop and maintain modular PLC software for controlling X-Ray Modules, ensuring functionality throughout all product and lifecycle stages
• Contribute to the further development of the software and its architecture into a sustainable, cross-product solution
• Participate in the design, development, and testing of software according to modern development principles
• Perform tests and measurements on devices and support system tests
• Assist in building an automated testing infrastructure

What you bring: 

• Completed training as an Automation Technician or Electronics Technician EFZ, ideally with further education in Automation or Electrical Engineering (HF/FH)
• Strong knowledge of programming with Structured Text (ST) or Structured Control Language (SCL)
• Experience in developing complex software systems and with version control (GIT)
• Advantageous: Experience with B&R Automation Studio, high voltage technology, X-Ray technology, and Python
• Interest in gaining a deeper understanding of systems and developing complex products in an interdisciplinary environment
• Fluent in German and English skills, both written and spoken
