To complement our team at the Aachen location, we are looking for a goal-oriented and team-oriented personality as a
SMD Production Engineer (m/f/d)
for our Plasma Control Technologies division in Aachen (Germany).

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touchscreens for sensors, smartphones or tablets. At the German PCT site, the expertise is mainly in the field of RF generators.
Key responsibilities
- Responsibility for the manufacturing and testing support of PCB production at the site
- Responsibility for the manufacturing and testing transfer of PCBAs from development to serial production - "Design for Manufacturing / Testability"
- Coordination of the manufacturing and test-ready design of electronic assemblies with the responsible departments (design review regarding compliance with Design for Manufacturing / Testability)
- Support of test systems such as ATE, AOI, X-ray, as well as the coordination of suppliers for the production of test adapters and initial commissioning of flying probe tests
- Representative of manufacturing in development projects, responsible for prototypes and series start-up, as well as for the establishment/qualification of new processes and for the handover of the testing process to the manufacturing area
- Technical contact for the manufacturing area for the analysis of testing problems reported from production on electronic flat assemblies (problem identification and troubleshooting)
- Process optimization, cost savings, manufacturing-related quality assurance, as well as the creation of work documents
- Technical support and assistance for investment projects, expansions, and conversions with regard to test benches and test workstations from planning to implementation, taking into account appropriate regulations, e.g. occupational safety and Lean criteria
- Procurement of operating resources and transfer of equipment to the production department
- Optimization of technologies, facilities, operating resources, and processes
Your qualifications:
- Completed technical university studies (Bachelor or Master)
- Relevant several years of professional experience in the field of flat assembly testing and electronic manufacturing
- Good knowledge in the design of electronic flat assemblies as well as applied testing and manufacturing procedures for electronic flat assemblies
- E-CAD knowledge, preferably Altium and Advanced Design System (ADS)
- Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, etc.) and process improvement methods (e.g. Six Sigma)
- Experience with merchandise management systems, preferably SAP
